As such, there are many controversies about the carbon border
tax. However, the carbon border tax is a policy that should never
be ignored in that it solves environmental problems by reducing
ESG carbon emissions. International cooperation and technological
innovation are needed to solve the problems with the carbon
border tax. In addition, the economic impact of a carbon border
tax may vary depending on the specific details of the policy and
country-specific circumstances, so careful design of policies and
strengthened cooperation by governments and international
organizations are need to assess and manage these impacts. It
is expected that the international community will promote mutual
complementarity between trade and climate change for sustainable
development, and will continue to promote efforts for a global leap
forward to harmonize economic development and environmental
protection through the introduction of carbon tariffs. We must build
a more sustainable future by expanding trade in green goods and
ESG services through international cooperation and consultation and
strengthening regulations to reduce carbon emissions. Through
this, we will have to move toward a global society that harmonizes
economic prosperity and environmental protection. While many
countries around the world pursue economic development, they
can simultaneously achieve economic growth and environmental
and social development through global cooperation and innovative
solutions to respond to problems such as climate change, resource
depletion, and environmental destruction.
