Zenith 2016

an awe-inspiring comeback and a satisfying counterattack against the Chinese department, the
Spanish department snatched the 2016 Fiesta soccer cup from the hands of the previous owners, the

Chinese department. 2015 was a sore year for both the Spaniards and the Japanese, for the Chinese
department fl attened both departments and won the three ball games - soccer, basketball, and dodge
ball. The Spanish department, now it seems, have been dying to meet them on the fi eld once again.
After winning against the Japanese department soccer team in the semifi nals on May 11th, the two

remaining teams crossed swords on the soccer fi eld on May 13th. Surprisingly, the match accompanied
an unusual sight: the entire Japanese department - former rivals in the soccer league - were seen to be
rooting for their former rivals. This may seem
unusual, but the two departments had laid down

their old rivalry for the time and struck as a unit
against the more densely populated Chinese
department, the former victors. Not without their
own conditions, since the Spanish department

signed a pact to root for the Japanese department
in their dodge ball match against the Chinese
department. Spectators of blue and yellow, an

            unusual color mix, were seen
            to be singing the Spanish
            cheering songs, such as
            “Stars on the Spaniards” and

            “Oh Great E-S (English-
            Spanish Department).”
The first half of the match
            progressed slowly, both

            teams nearly scoring and
            narrowly missing, until the
            Chinese Department scored
the first goal and waves of

red fl ocked the fi eld. The fi rst half ended with the Chinese department leading one to nil, and things
did not seem well at all for the Armada. Was the horror of the previous year repeating itself? Would
the Spanish department lose the cup, having it snatched away from their very fingertips? The very
prospect of the soccer cup lost before their very eyes seemed to be both a reminder and a stimulant

for the Spanish soccer players. With the start of the second half, the Armada showed adamant strength
and formed a wall to halt the penetration of the Chinese players. In the middle of the match, the
Spaniards broke through the ranks and scored, making it an even one to one. Then they scored another,
