The 2024 Paris Olympics received a lot of attention and support from many people around
the world.
The ceremony planning team of the 2024 Paris Olympics has apologized to Catholics
and other Christian groups for the scene during the opening ceremony that made them
outraged. The scene showed <The Last Supper> painting by Leonardo da Vinci with drag
queens, a transgender model and a singer made up as a Greek god of wine.
“I was hoping for the success of the Paris Olympics, but the depiction was completely
insensitive, unnecessary and unpleasant.” said British Gavin Calver, the president of
Evangelical Alliance UK, “and I was really shocked to see Christianity being publicly mocked
by depicting the Last Supper in an incredibly vulgar way at the opening ceremony.”
