Q. What were some of the difficulties that arose during your preparation for the
big match?
At first, we had difficulties in teamwork, not being able to get along well but that
gradually got better as we practiced more (also with the help of the seniors friendly
approaching us), thus leading to our outstanding display of teamwork on the D-day
of the big match.
Q. What kind of mentality did your team have before and during the
match?
Instead of thinking that we need to win no matter what, our goal was just to enjoy the
match, to show what we have practiced for and so I think our team was able to face
the game with comfort.
Q. Any words of advice?
For the freshmen and yet to be freshmen year students, I just want to say this: “Don’t
get too caught up in winning. Enjoy what you’re doing and just note that the most
important thing is to get along with your teammates.”
Conclusion
All the athletes who participated in the athletic competition were dedicated, passionate
and enthusiastically charged. Also, the students who did not participate showed their
enthusiasm and support by cheering enthusiastically from the stands. It was a truly
collaborative and respectful atmosphere to congratulate the winning team and to
acknowledge the losing team doing their best until the end. The sports competition
that all the students enjoyed together seemed to have been more meaningful
and exciting than anything else. Students were able to experience the value of
cooperation and feel the joy of challenge through the sports competition, and had a
meaningful time to be motivated for future growth and development.
