was cast instead as a hoax. In one clip, Russian
journalists noted that the clothing on some dead civilians
was too clean to have been in the streets for days,
implying they could not have been killed during Russia’s
occupation. This shows what if the main news media
is tightly controlled by the government. As this kind of
news reporting was discovered, the gray-hacker group
Anonymous hacked Russian streaming services and live
TV channels to show what was happening in Ukraine.

Around the Globe: Situation doesn’t Look Great
According to the article of VOA, in South Korea, fake news is also widespread
across the country. South Korea tries to fight against it but only to make it difficult
for the press. The world is the same. According to the insight of Jonathan Eyal, a
new battlefield is formed. He says, ‘For decades, military strategists have argued
that the next battlefield may be our brains, with informational war emerging as a
key component of modern combat. That time may now have arrived, with many
of the deception techniques fit for warfare spilling over into the civilian sphere.’
With the development of the Internet, online journalism is
common in modern It is, a double-edged sword, involving
much more information. Technology means that publishers
of Fake News can reach huge audiences. The software can
create social media accounts for hundreds of thousands. For
example, no less than 150,000 such accounts operated in
Britain in 2016, during the EU referendum campaign.

Solving this Problem: By Giving Up some Freedom
One approach is the development of enhanced
government intelligence capabilities, able to spot
trends in the internet and blogosphere. Another option is strict regulation during electoral campaigns
to diminish the impact of Fake News. But the most important measure governments can take is to
force internet providers and the owners of social platforms to share responsibility for the information
they carry. Fake news already lives in our lives, and we can fix it. It is one of the results of
developmentimprovement, and it’s bad. We all should try not to be enchanted by it.
