Foreigners are surprised

in Korea

There are many foreign travelers in Korea because of globalization.
When you go on an overseas trip, you are surprised at La Sagrada

Familia in Spain, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and America’s Central
Park in Manhattan of New York City. But what Korean attractions do
you think foreign travelers visit?
The demilitarized zone, DMZ, takes in the 5th rank. The DMZ be-
tween the Military Demarcation Lines, which are located 2km away
from the borders of South and North Korea is decided by the Korea
ceasefire agreement. It is near the ceasefire line so we can feel the tragedy of the national division.

There are many restrictions on touring.
However, there are many natural ecosystems that are not stained by humans because it requires a
complicated procedure to tour DMZ. In the Dora observatory in Pa-ju, we can see North Korea at the
closest distance.
The cheap and fine quality of cosmetics is ranked on 4th. As export-
ing cosmetics to many foreign countries increased 53.1% more than
the previous year, foreigners are interested in Korean cosmetic prod-
ucts. Therefore they have curiosity about Korean cosmetics. Also
products that are expensive in foreign countries are cheap in Korea

because of the rate of exchange. In the case of America, 1$ is equiv-
alent of 1200won so it is far cheaper when the price gets higher.
Third, cutting food with scissors is surprising to foreigners. Koreans
usually cut almost every food with scissors especially when we have
beef or pork. However, foreigners are not familiar with cutting food
with scissors. Therefore, they are astonished at cutting the pork and
