Making an unforgettable mem-

ory at the Urban

Night Garden

The Song-do light festival Urban Night Garden
was held October 13th to October 22th at Song-do

Central Park. This festival started in 2015 with var-
ious LED sculptures and illumination displays. We
can enjoy the light festival with family, friends, and
various people who you like to enjoy the autumn
season. There are lots of performances and activ-
ities such as making a wish lantern, writing mes-
sages to special people and so on.
One of the fabulous things to do at the light festi-
val is making a luminous ring. This festival is only

held on the opening day. These are used to make
the opening ceremony more fancy and colorful.
These rings are offered to only 300 people, first
come first serve, which makes it more special. The
lighting ceremony is progressed with tourists, therefore it is characterized as a participation program.
Furthermore, it is lit by the program host’s signal, so all the rings illuminate at the same time. It was an
amazing thing to see.

There are many special programs that happen all
night because it’s a light festival. At night, there is
a program called the colorful fluorescent T-shirt ex-
perience. It is a fluorescent art program using fluo-
rescent dye. On caps, T –shirts and so on, you can
express your personality by designing with the flu-
orescent dye. Also, there is a prize for the most cre-
ative design.
The year is hastening to its close. Therefore, mak-

ing wish lanterns is meaningful in those days. In
this festival you can experience making wish
lanterns for the coming year, 2018. They are distinguished from other lanterns because the decorations
