Read for our future

"Autumn is the season of reading" is a familiar
phrase. Our ancestors who had wisdom would
have enjoyed the reading which had been de-
layed by the abundant and leisurely harvest after
finishing the farming in autumn. The creatures
wait for the spring with seeds, the animals re-
serve the food and sleep in hibernation, and
people get ready for a cold winter. This gets us

“ready for reading”.
There are many quotes that emphasize the im-
portance and value of reading. When Bill Gates,
the CEO of Microsoft Corp. was asked "What
would you like to have if you had a superpower?"
he said he wanted to have the ability to read
books quickly. In reality, he said, "The habit of
reading is more important than a Harvard Uni-
versity diploma," and this maxim got the atten-
tion of many people. Dubo, one of the greatest
poets in China, said, "The boy should read the
book of the five scoops." Political philosopher
Michael Sandle called his library “a transcending
exploration space”, “the world of ideas and imag-
ination”, and said, “books are invitations to dia-

logue from writers”.
Reading is not for showing off to someone.
Moreover, it should not be used as a way to be
proud yourself. It is not important how many
books you read. Even if you read a line, you
have a reason to read, think about it, and make
it into your own thing. If you do not have a mind
to read a book and there is no other change than
before, you can not have success with real read-
ing and you have just read a lot of books .
