                         English-Japanese Department’s School Trip

                                                  – To Japan!

From October 10 to October 13, 1st grade students of Incheon Foreign Language High School
went to school trip on abroad. Student in English-Chinese department and English-Spanish de-
partment went to Taiwan (Originally students in English-Chinese department had to go to China
but they couldn’t go that time because of the THAAD problem), and English-Japanese department

students went to Tokyo, Japan. So this writer, who’s in the English-Japanese department, is going
to write about English-Japanese department’s trip to Japan.

                FIRST DAY

The fifth, sixth, and seventh class were gathered in Incheon
International Airport at 7:00 a.m. Every student were distrib-
uted their passport and name tags from our guides and
homeroom teachers. After we finished all checkups and pro-
cedures to leave Korea, we waited for our plane, which was
                                                           going to depart at 9:30.

Inchon International Airport at 7:00 p.m.
After the flight of approximately 2 hours, we finally arrived at
Narita International Airport. As soon as we arrived, we rode on tour buses to have lunch. We got to a tra-
ditional Japanese restaurant and ate our meal. Usually Japanese traditional meal is not very spicy and
has ingredients from sea, so some students disliked the foods, while other students so liked it.

We went to Nakamise (仲店(なかみせ), [나카미세]) street in
Asakusa, after we had lunch. Nakamise is a street located

in front of Sensoji, the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan, and
it has many various kinds of stores and shops (it is the rea-
son why its name is Nakamise – because it means “stores
in temple”). We borrowed kimono from renting stores and
had free time in Nakamise. Every student enjoyed their time
Nakamise street. Sensoji is far behind.
walking with their friends, buying sweets and souvenirs (ex-
cept this writer, who lost wallet there!).
After wandering there, our students moved to Don Quixote (ドン・キホテ, 돈 키호테), which sells many
various commodities. It was similar to Daiso, but Don Quixote has more diverse items like jelly, massage

machines, ramen and watch. And we had dinner upstairs, and there was a meat buffet. Our students
