They argued that prohibiting the wearing of the burqini violates human rights and freedom.
The French government banned the wearing of the burkini on the grounds that it was based
on discrimination against women, but rather, forcibly prohibiting the wearing of the burkini
is a even greater discrimination against women and a violation of religious freedom.

The Burqini wearing debate is an example of a cultural conflict. Since globalization,
numerous cultures have spread and shared, and many cultural conflicts have arisen. We
should try to understand other cultures in the context in which they are formed. From the
standpoint of prohibiting the wearing of burkinis, it would be evaluated that the burqini is a
violation of human rights, but for Muslim women, the burqini, which reflects the times and
traditions, may become a part of their lives and come as a custom without coercion. We
need to cultivate a cultural relativistic perspective that understands and respects culture
from various perspectives. Culture cannot be the object of evaluation, except in cases that
undermine universal human values.
