A Multicultural symbolistic society brings us the
bounty of cultural diversity. And it can get a broad
view of the world. Many cultures are rooted in a
society. Therefore, new cultures may be developed
in various forms such as China town in Incheon.
When people who have different backgrounds
of culture interact with each other, it is possible
to accelerate another innovation and creativity. It
could lead us to a more advanced society.

But the multicultural symbolistic society also has
risks. It is difficult to integrate. Because diverse groups
live in different ways, it often brings social separation and
gaps. Also, people who grow up in a multicultural society may
be confused about their identity. Since they come from many cultural
backgrounds, when their parents’ culture and another culture conflict,
they may have a hard time choosing their culture.

Direction we have to pursue

The two forms of cultural adaptation have different advantages and disadvantages. However,
in the globalization society, the identity of each country’s culture is very necessary to keep the
native influence and the mother culture. So, each country should have time to consider whether
migrants should be assimilated into the existing culture of becoming a multicultural society.

Also, multicultural society has disadvantages. But this can be solved through education and
policies based on mutual understanding and respect. In addition, the environment where all
cultures can coexist, along with efforts to prevent conflicts.
Together, the culture will develop towards a good destination.
