K-pop idols make active efforts to communicate with their fans by learning various
languages. Representatively, BTS' RM naturally communicated with global fans through
English interviews and delivered the group's message directly. Twice's members actively
interacted with fans in Japanese and Chinese at fan meetings and broadcasts, demonstrating
their multilingual skills. In addition, they are increasing their intimacy with their fans by using multiple
languages on SNS, vlogs, and live broadcasts. This is not only an effort to break down language barriers,
but it also plays an important role in forming a consensus with global fandom.

Fans also contribute in various ways to overcome language barriers. The global fan community operates its
own translation of lyrics, interview subtitles, and content translation to create connections between fans.
In addition, community activities are being actively conducted to teach and learn each other's languages
among fans. This process is not just an opportunity to learn the language, but to understand Korean culture
and to empathize with the world view of idols more deeply.
Language is a powerful medium that communicates
culture and identity beyond just communication tools. K-pop communicates deeper
with fans through language and forms a global solidarity that understands and
respects each other's cultural differences. When an idol approaches the fan's
language and a fan tries to learn the idol's culture, the bond becomes stronger.
K-pop serves as a bridge to connect the world by combining language, music,
                                      and culture.
