                                                Plant-based plastic
Single-use plastics are another serious problem that we need to
solve. Despite that most countries now banned or limited their
usage, the problem is still rooted deep. We can still see devastating
amounts of plastic debris on the shore. Plant-based plastic is based
on corn, sugarcane, seaweed, and various plants. It has its benefits
in its biodegradability meaning that it dematerializes it when thrown
away. Also, plant-based plastic is as strong as standard plastic, and
has the same flexibility and usage while it could be more quickly
and completely degraded when it's discarded. We should roll out
this technology as fast as we can and exchange it with the standard
plastic that we are using now.

            Batteries
Power has been the limiting factor holding back various eco-friendly technologies.
For example, power systems generated by wind or solar energy have a critical flaw.
It couldn’t always be sunny or windy so using fossil fuels would become inevitable.
To solve this problem, we could suggest using battery techs. However, this solution
is just as bad and inefficient as using fossil fuels. Using battery technologies costs
about $360 for every single storage system meaning that it would be an impossible
goal to use battery technologies because of the budget. The good news is that one
company called Form Energy is developing aqueous sulfur-flow batteries which could
be way more efficient than the existing technology, lasting months.
