              IFLHS’s Sports Day Recap

              by Hwang Jehyeon

If students were asked to choose the hottest and most enjoyable event in 2022, all students
will choose sports day. In today's column, Zenith will focus on the Spanish language
department, and also plan interviews with Spanish language class athletes who have been

at the bottom for several years and feature articles predicting the next team to win the
              sports day.
Looking at the results of the competition, the Japanese language department won the

overall championship. In detail, the Japanese language department won soccer and
basketball, and the Spanish language won girl’s dodgeball. However, the Spanish
department lost in cheering and tug-of-war and was overturned by the Chinese language
department in the final third place.
Focusing on the results by event, in the case of soccer, while leading the game against

the Chinese language department, the game was tied at the end of the game, and a close
game was held to reach the penalty shootout. However, the result of the penalty shootout
was that the Chinese language department passed the preliminary round and the Spanish

department was disgraced for failing the preliminary round.
Dodgeball was the most interesting event. In addition to the transfer of the main players,
the Spanish women's dodgeball team, which was considered the weakest of the three
categories, won the preliminary round after a bloody battle with the Japanese department.
After all the events, the basketball final, which all the students had been waiting for, was

held at Myungshin Gymnasium. The Spanish language department was already waiting
for the opponent in the final with a bye, and the Japanese language department, the
winning basketball team, beat the Chinese department in the preliminary round to prepare

for the finals. The stadium was more hyped than ever. The Japanese language department,
which started the game early with a center putback score, continued to dominate the
paint and threatened the Spanish department. However, there were many offenses by the
Spanish language department, which were lost to the Japanese language department on
