Why should Muslim women wear Hijab?

There are various reasons why Muslim women should wear Hijab.
Firstly, it’s to protect one’s head from getting too hot by avoiding the rays of the desert by covering the head
with the Hijab.

Secondly, it’s had been a traditional costume used by women in the Middle East for a long time.
Lastly, there is also a religious reason to cover one’s hair and face so that men won’t be distracted while
praying.

Not all Muslim women have to wear Hijabs. The traditions of wearing hijab are all different. In certain
countries, it is common to wear Hijabs through free will. In contrast, in other countries, women must wear it
because of religious laws. For example, places like Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey, have created an atmosphere
in which even Muslim women do not necessarily have to wear Hijabs.

Why are Muslims protesting the law to wear Hijab?

As previously mentioned, the Hijab protest is a freedom-asserting protest that was raised because of the
mysterious death of a woman named Mahsa Amini. For a long time, muslims protested for freedom and this
Hijab protest is also a part of a decades-long fight for freedom carried out by Iranian women. Not only women
but also men are protesting for freedom and they are also joining the fight to be guaranteed the freedom to wear

hijabs.
