Why do people in Iran protest wearing Hijab?
What is Hijab and what’s wrong with it?
Hijab is a Muslim garment. It is not a full-length garment, but a cloth that surrounds only a part of the face and
the head. The form of the Hijab varies from country to country in the Islamic world, for example, it is okay to
reveal bangs in some countries or it is standard to completely cover one's hair. Hijab is different from Chador
and Burka, which cover the whole body in that it only covers the head. It is a little different from Nikop, a face
veil because it does not cover the face.
