Looking Forward to a Well
–Spent 2018 Winter Vacation
The year 2017 with many changes is finally over, and we are all looking forward to a new year,
2018. 2017 has been a busy year for all of us, and, as we bid farewell to last year with all our
fond memories and best moments, it’s finally time to face possibly the most important section
of our student lives: winter vacation. How we choose to spend the next few months may possibly
change our lives, so it is recommended that we spend the given time wisely – we cannot afford
to let precious time flow through our fingers once again. So here at ZENITH, we came up with
easy, simple, but crucial tips, to follow, or at least bear in mind, when scheduling your own
winter vacation with varying information for 1st graders (would-be 2nd graders) and 2nd graders
(would-be 3rd graders) respectively.
1. Keep a meticulous schedule and be punctual about it (for all)
Busying yourself with and fussing over daily schedules will be of no help if you yourself do not
abide by your own plans. Regardless of what your plans for today might be, be sure to keep
your own promises to yourself! If you decided to be ready for math by 9 o’clock, you must stick
to your plan come hell or high water. If you need to finish that section of English adverbs or
grammatical whatnot, you have to finish no matter what. Keeping a schedule – note that it does
not always have to be tighter than the shoelaces of your soccer shoes on sports day – and ac-
tually living up to your daily plans helps with keeping a punctual timeline, and, in turn, it will
lead you to a slow but steady accomplishment of goals.
2. Early to rise, early to bed, 10 hours of study time every day without
nodding over your morning toast the next-well-morning (2nd graders)
Here’s a pointer directly from the horse’s mouth – and it’s none other than our head teacher
himself. We all spent tireless nights fighting the desperate urge to fall asleep, busying with our
studies, and although it gives us more study time, this unstable program totally devastates your
next day. Here’s a simple tip provided beforehand: Go to sleep at 12 o’clock sharp and be sure
to be completely ready for your schedule the next morning. All of your preparations should be
ready before 9 in the morning. This way, you do not have to spend the night awake clinging to
math problems with the aid of caffeine, but instead get at least 7 hours of sound sleep. This
way you still get away with 5 hours (give or take a few minutes) of mealtimes and free time!
(more will be discussed about free time later.)
