He also signed 111 economic MOUs in Vietnam, the largest
ever. During a state visit to Vietnam, a key partner of ASEAN,
strategic cooperation was strengthened in terms of security
and supply chain, and economic cooperation was expanded
with a 205-person economic delegation, the largest under
the current government. At the Korea-Vietnam Business
Forum, 111 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were
signed, the largest ever, and a contract worth 56 million
dollars (approximately 73.2 billion won) was signed at the
trade consultation meeting alone. During the summit meeting
with the Vietnamese president, President Yoon agreed to
strengthen strategic communication in foreign affairs and
security, expand cooperation in the defense industry, expand
concessional and grant aid, and establish a core mineral
supply chain center. The agreement to establish a supply
chain center with Vietnam, the second-largest resource-rich
country in rare earth reserves, is meaningful in that it laid a
new foundation for cooperation in a situation where concerns
over China's rare mineral weaponization are growing amid
the US-China competition for supremacy.

Currently, while Korea's sales diplomacy is realizing
successes one after another, Korea should continue to
prepare a sophisticated diplomatic strategy to achieve good
relations with other countries.
