Why the events at Incheon Foreign Language High

School give more enjoyment!

IFLHS (Incheon Foreign Language High School) has various events that students can
experience. There is sports day that you might have experienced before, as well as
Fiesta and Drama Fiesta, which are held by the school itself. Let me introduce each

event in detail.

Sports day

Sports day in IFLHS is slightly different with ordinary sports day. Because it’s a foreign
language high school, it has three departments. The department of Japanese, the
department of Chinese, and lastly the department of Spanish. Sports day in IFLHS is
conducted between these three departments. When sports day is run in this way, only
students who want to participate in the match can participate. Also, students can get close
to seniors and juniors who want to participate in the same sport entries.
There are also a lot of sport entries you can take delight in. The most popular one during the
2023 sports day was the teacher’s hands and feet volleyball, which is called sujokgu. This
year was the first time playing this entry. Students paid a lot of attention due to the players.
It is interesting that teachers who are usually in our classrooms and the teacher’s room
enjoy sports with us. The day has not only fun sport entries, but also there are cheering
songs we can sing with our peers. Do you knowYonsei University and Korea University’s
cheering songs? I think you might have heard before. The students of each language major
change lyrics and create their own cheering songs. By doing this, we can enjoy our sports
day several times over.
Outside the gym, for students who sweat in the heat, the school prepared a beverage
truck. Also, for environment protection, the school only provided beverage for the students
who have a tumbler provided by the school or a tumbler held by the individual. Another
event outside the gym was a busking concert. On one side of the multipurpose court,
students who pre-applied for the busking can show their own charm by singing and playing
instruments. During lunchtime, students had a good time enjoying the show.

Fiesta

Fiesta is a school festival held by the school. It is held every 2 years, so students can relish
the festival only once in high school. In different classrooms, various school clubs operated
a booth which emphasizes their club’s characteristic. In the process of preparing and
operating the booth with friends, we can keep it as a remembrance. As the last highlight,
